Constance Edwards Scopelitis

Constance Edwards Scopelitis holds a Fine Arts degree from Indiana University and continued her training under legendary American figurative painter Isabel Bishop. She further refined her craft at the prestigious Art Students League in New York City, which set her on a path toward large-scale narrative figure paintings and highly detailed formal oil portraits.

Her portrait work is included in the collections of major American corporations, universities, and private collectors. Scopelitis has been the recipient of both national and international fellowships, including the Vermont Studio Center, Schildersweek in Holland, the Creative Renewal Fellowship (through the Eli Lilly Foundation), and the DeHaan Artist of Distinction Award.

Her work has been featured in D-Railed and Art Spiel magazines and regularly exhibited in national and international art fairs, including Art Miami during Basel Week. She was also named a Time-Based Finalist for ArtPrize8 and has held three solo museum exhibitions in both Florida and Indiana.

While best known for her graphite masterworks, Scopelitis also works in a wide range of contemporary formats, including lenticular prints, animated video, interactive touchscreen programs, neon, and mixed media. Her work bridges classical training with 21st-century technology, creating timeless imagery that resonates with a contemporary edge.
